Peter Hudson - Chairman

 

Peter has been involved with the Western Bulldogs for many years as a supporter and sponsor. He is proud to chair the Western Bulldogs Forever Foundation and is committed to ensuring the long term viability of the Western Bulldogs. Peter also chairs the Committee for Werribee and the Wyndham Community Cultural Foundation and has been a passionate community contributor for many years. Peter served as the Mayor of the City of Wyndham in the 1980′s and has extensive experience in Capital Raising for Community benefit. Peter and his wife Maxine operate a successful dry cleaning franchise and are keen supporters of local football in the Western region.

Dr Susan Alberti AO HonLLD – Deputy Chairperson

 

Susan is co-founder and Managing Director of DANSU Group, acknowledged as one of Melbourne’s major property developers and associate entities. Susan is National President of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Australia (JDRF), a voluntary support organisation which contributes millions of dollars each year to diabetes research and related initiatives in Australia each year. Susan also assisted in founding and organising the annual ‘Walk to Cure’ around Albert Park Lake, and is Chair of the Juvenile Diabetes Ball. In 1997 Susan received her AM (Member of the Order of Australia) for her contribution towards the cause of diabetes research. This was followed up in 2007 with an AO (Officer of the Order of Australia). In addition to her outstanding work with Juvenile Diabetes, Susan is a Board member and Foundation Chair of St. Vincent’s Institute of Medical Research where she has been responsible for overseeing the raising of $2.5 million for medical research over the past two years. Susan is a founding director of the Western Bulldogs Forever Foundation and is also Deputy Chair-elect of the Western Bulldogs Football Club.

Campbell Rose

 

Campbell Rose is the Chief Executive Officer of VicTrack, a former CEO of the Western Bulldogs Football Club (2002-2010) and former Chief Executive of Stralliance Developments and Watersun Homes, a Melbourne based development and construction company. As Chief Executive of the Bulldogs, Campbell was instrumental in turning around a $3 million loss and transforming the football club into a viable, sustainable, community-oriented football club. Prior to this Campbell held roles including Chief Executive of the Melbourne Major Events Company Limited, Chief Executive of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Bid, and Chief Executive of the 2001 Goodwill Games in Brisbane. Campbell also currently serves on the Board of the Victoria University Foundation, and Early Childhood Management Services. Campbell is also an Australian Olympian (yachting). 

Eric Barr

 

Eric is a Chartered Accountant who retired from a lifelong career with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 2001 after earlier having been State Chairman of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and other professional bodies. He is currently US lead director and US audit committee chairman of Reading Entertainment inc of Los Angeles, a director and audit committee chairman of Australian Pacific Exchange, Australia’s newest stock exchange and a number of Australian private companies. He is a member of the Board of Management of Beacon Lighting. He also acts in specialist tax forensic roles for both government and the private sector in civil and criminal matters. Eric is devoted to the success and survival of the Western Bulldogs, not wanting to see his 50 years of supporting the club wasted. He functions as Prudential Director of the Forever Foundation endeavouring to ensure that donor’s contributions are protected and used for the purposes they were made.

 

Joan Hale

 

Joan is a founding director of the Forever Foundation and has been a Western Bulldogs supporter for many years. Joan is a Board Member of Taralye – Victoria’s leading organisation for deaf and hearing impaired children – and participates in their Finance Committee. Recently Joan completed a Cert IV in Remedial Therapies and works from home with a small practice.  Joan supports the Forever Foundation by working closely with philanthropic organisations.

Rebecca Nicholson

 

Rebecca is a communication specialist with over 20 years’ experience in NSW and Victoria as a speechwriter, press secretary, and senior government adviser. More recently Rebecca has worked as a communications consultant in the private and not-for-profit sectors. Rebecca provides communication support to the Forever Foundation. A former Sydneysider who chose the Bulldogs as her team in 2000 after moving to Melbourne the previous year, Rebecca brings her passion for the Dogs to support the work of the Foundation.
